For parents who do not play chess
Sit beside your child and understand what is happening.
Move the pieces on your phone to follow the real game. Every move is explained in three layers, ending with one sentence you can say straight to your child. You do not need to know how to play.
Practice sessions only
Do not use it during MCF, FIDE or MSSD tournaments, or during rated games online. Receiving outside assistance during a rated game counts as cheating, and the consequences fall on your child. Use it during sparring, home practice, and when reviewing finished games.
How it is used
Three things, while your child practises.
- 1
You sit beside them
Your child plays on a real board. You hold the phone and stay out of their game.
- 2
You move the pieces on your phone
Follow the real game move by move. No complex setup and no PGN file needed.
- 3
You get one sentence
A three-layer explanation of each move, ending with one sentence you can say straight to your child.
Four screens
Each one for a different moment.
| Screen | When | What |
|---|---|---|
| Board | During the game | A three-layer explanation of every move |
| Review | After it ends | Plain-language summary and recurring patterns across games |
| Guide | Any time | 69 searchable chess topics |
Limits we state up front
Better you know now than after paying.
Up to roughly 2200 Elo
The board adapts from the first move up to around 2200 Elo. Above that it stays deliberately silent — we do not pretend to help stronger players.
Your child's games stay on the device
Games and reviews are stored in your browser only. Stockfish runs in the browser; no position is sent to our servers.
We do not compete with Lichess
No puzzle bank, no classes, no online opponents. Lichess is free and better at those.
This is not a coach
It does not replace a coach, and we do not promise your child's rating will rise.
